Rooted in St. John: Our Journey with Zahada De Allie

There's a specific kind of confidence that comes from knowing your community is cheering you on.

For us at Buena Vista Apartments, "home" has always meant more than a beautiful space with modern amenities. It's about connection, roots, and lifting up the people around us. As a Grenadian-owned property with deep ties to St. John, we believe in investing in the talent, dreams, and national pride of our own community.

That's why we were so proud to sponsor Zahada De Allie, Miss St. John 2026.

A Message Worth Standing Behind

Watching a young woman from our own parish take the national stage was a deeply special moment for our family. Zahada brought a powerful message to the pageant — that representation matters, and that our scars don't define us. It's a message of resilience and grace we wholeheartedly stand behind.

A Home Away From Home

Preparing for the Carnival Queen show is no small feat. It takes intense focus, real rest, and genuine peace of mind. During her preparation, Zahada called Buena Vista her "home away from home" — a quiet space where she could ease her mind, recharge, and step fully into competition mode.

Blending modern comfort with the relaxed warmth of island life is exactly why we built Buena Vista. Knowing our environment played a small part in her preparation is exactly why we do what we do.

A Win for St. John

Seeing Zahada take home Most Photogenic felt like a win for the whole parish. Her light, her poise, her elegance — impossible to miss, and impossible not to be proud of. To Zahada: we're so proud of you, and your community will always be right behind you.
